BEULAH KAHL BOYD
Beulah Kahl Boyd, a resident of Rose Villa Retirement Center, died Tuesday morning, March 9, 2010 at Providence Milwaukie Hospital. She was 94 years old.
Beulah was born March 17, 1915 on the Kahl farm in Oregon City. After her graduation from Lincoln High School, she attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA and Oregon State University, majoring in Home Economics. She worked for many years at the Coast-to-Coast Hardware Store on Main Street, Oregon City, and moved to Rose Villa with her husband Nathan in 1986.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Esther Kahl, her husband of 64 years Nathan Boyd and her brothers Frank and Karl Kahl.
Survivors include her brother John Kahl and wife, Johnette of Oregon City; daughter Sally Gentry and husband, Larry of Vancouver, WA, grandsons Brad Gentry and wife, Susan of Portland, OR; and Scott Gentry and wife, Sandra of Chico, CA; three great-granddaughers Erin, Alyssa and Megan Gentry, and 10 nephews and nieces.
Graveside service will be held March 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City. Visitation will be Thursday, March 18, from 11 am - 5 pm and Friday, March 19, from 8 am - 10 am at Holman, Hankins, Bowker and Waud, 715 Seventh Street, Oregon City.
